Postcard marketing in a down economy

It is no surprise to anyone that the economy is bad, and that your customers may not want to spend money that they don't have to. One way to tackle this situation is to send out a postcard to both new and existing customers. Postcards are an inexpensive way for you to reach out to new and existing customers. Businesses large or small still have to get business cards, brochures, postcards, stationery, an more printed somewhere. It might as well be with you.
We suggest developing a postcard with the key message that you will be able to save them money. When you follow up with a phone call to your existing clients, you should mention what your charge for some of the other products that they use, but haven't ordered from you before. Follow up to new clients, you should mention your abilities to produce their business cards, etc. less expensive than with who they are currently using.

We have a postcard available that is already designed for the 25% off postcard blowout sale! This would be great to send out to your current customers. You should have received an example in the mail along with the postcard sell sheet.

TBBS Dealer/Sales support

Forum: Sales & Marketing

Mining your current customer database for revenue

If you are not doing this already I highly recommend that you do. These are businesses that use your print services already, and more than likely they use someone else for other printing they need done. Here are a few suggestions.

1. When we introduce a new product (calendars), or finishing (UV coating), or whenever something new you have to offer them that they don't know about is a great time to place a phone call to them. It gives you a legitimate reason to call them.

2. Send them a postcard. You can:
- Mentioning what is new (Product, service),
- Offering them a discount (i.e. 25% off your first order of postcards)
- Test a response within a vertical market you want to do more business in.
- After you mail out the postcard, you should follow it up with a call to those people you sent it to.

3. You should try to communicate with your top 25 or 50 accounts at least once every 3-4 months (if not sooner). It shows those customers how "important" they are to you.

If you have found something that has worked well for you please post your comments. If you have any questions about selling to your existing customers we are here to help.

TBBS Dealer/Sales Support

Forum: Sales & Marketing

Pricing. All products now have new pricing. So all orders effective immediately, will use this new pricing grid. By and large the pricing is lower than your current price list. Our current promotion is now no longer valid.

2. Should you see any problems in the portal please drop us an email at akartic@tbbsolutions.com

Thank you -

Thunderbird Business Solutions - Dealer Support

Forum: Thunderbird Business Solutions Communication

By sharing what you have going on today, other dealers can see seasonal trends and hear about markets that they had perhaps not considered. This type of information is currently scattered across the message board. Hopefully this forum will provide a consolidated place for this type of information/discussion.

Forum: My most recent/promising customer
